Kristen Gillette, known by some circles as Tent or Tentling or Tenty or Tentypants and still other circles as Kent or Trent, {albeit said circles do not know her very well}, is an artist and designer with an eye for the next big thing, a nose for danger and excitement and an ear for 90's power ballads. What? Who is supposed to be writing this thing? I'm going to switch to first person now.
I am a person who draws animals and/or vegetables with faces, usually to have someone to talk to on dark, stormy nights. I like to play with Lady Gaga Colorforms, I spend weeks building land canoes that I paddle around San Francisco {no, seriously, this isn't a metaphor, I have one hanging above my bed right now} and I usually construct halloween costumes out of cardboard boxes I find on the street. I believe in the collective human imagination. I have a 5-point Zombie Apocalypse Survival Plan. I think wizards and ghosts are all around us, and sometimes I try to find one or the other, depending upon what I'm in the mood for. I am constantly curious and a life-long knowledge quester. I am a radical dreamer, and doer. And I am absolutely in love with art and design.
I began The Green Apartment almost 10 years ago, with the goal to provide professional design, marketing and communications services to businesses, artists, friends and organizations that I believed in. I am always on the lookout for the next challenge or adventure, and will happily respond to any questions or comments during frequent breaks from my current roof-top rocketship project. |
